Our Mission and Vision
The goal of Karen’s Daycare LLC is to support and promote the development of each child and their fullest potential in all areas of growth and learning. As educators we understand that competence in cognitive skills and physical well-being are most important to the development of the children. Each child attending Karen’s Daycare LLC will be valued for their uniqueness and individuality. Our staff is certain that through dedication, loving, and well-care giving, these goals can be achieved and made into reality.
Our respect for each child is demonstrated throughout the day. It is visible in the way we talk and listen to them. How we give them choices in play and set up their learning environment. It is present in the challenging and varied experiences which stimulate their creativity. It is also evident in our curriculum which is geared to follow the interest of the children in our Daycare. KD also know that in order to achieve our goals we need to work together with parents in mutual interest of each child, always keeping an open door policy and a line of communication.
As providers and professional educators we believe that children have the right to a nurturing, safe environment where they can feel comfortable and secure, as well as the parents. Children have the rights to develop their maximum abilities and that providers/educators have the responsibility to provide opportunities for this development to occur. Each child is allowed to develop at their pace. KD accept and respect differences between children which include developmental, physical, racial, and ethnic heritages. Every child regardless of sex, race, religion, or ethnic origin will have the same opportunities and advantages as every other child in our program.
Each child at KD is taught to develop a positive self-image and to feel good about who they are. We hope that by treating each child with love and respect that they in turn will learn to treat others in the same manner.
KD believes that children learn best through active participation with their environment and that the teachers provide a variety of opportunities and experiences to promote growth in all areas. We will strive to thoughtfully plan activities following sound early childhood principles that meet developmental needs of the individual children.
